The Earl B. Gilliam Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and its mission is to represent the interests of the African-American legal community in San Diego County.
The Foundation exists primarily to provide support for diversifying the legal community, which currently includes scholarships for law students and support for law students and African American legal professionals in growing as attorneys, obtaining and maintaining employment, developing private practice as sole practitioners or partners within law firms, advancing in public sector employment, and related efforts.
Gifts made to the Foundation are tax-deductible.
2019 Day at the Races
The Earl B. Gilliam Bar Foundation is hosting its annual “Day at the Races” event at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club on Saturday, August 3, 2019! Get Dapper and Dolled in your Sunday best and join us for a fun day as we cheer on our favorite horses while mixing and mingling with other legal and business professionals. This is also a great opportunity for members of the African American Legal Community and representatives of professional organizations across San Diego to connect, network, and socialize in an informal setting.
Prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed Woman and Man!
Charter Ride Departure: 11:00am, Old Town Trolley Station 4005 Taylor Street San Diego 92110 (Southwest side of Parking Lot)
Reception: 12:30pm, Del Mar Thoroughbred Club Pacific Pavilion
Races: 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Charter Ride Return: 5:00 PM Pickup and 6:00pm drop off at Old Town Trolley Station.
